Airella® is made of a special hollow, siliconised and spiral-formed polyester fiber in combination with the newest innovative technology. The aim is to reach an optimal quality of the fiber.
NOWO in Turku has developed and built a wholy new revolutionary gentle carding system, which gives the fill a new soft, elastic and voluminous touch. The old system was too rough in carding; it straightened out the curls or spirals of the fiber. The new carding system does not destroy the silicon treatment of the fiber. Therefore, compared with the previously used carding the new carding system gives the fill twice as much volume than before.
